The full investigation shows that SARS-CoV virus was transmitted from civet to humans in China in 2002 and MERS-CoV virus was transmitted from camels to humans in Saudi Arabia in 2012. Many types of coronaviruses are circulating in the objects but not yet transmitted to humans. As surveillance around the world improves, it is likely that many coronaviruses will be detected. Animal sources of the 2019-nCoV virus have not been isolated. This does not mean that you can get 2019-nCoV from any animal or your close pet.
